Stylarius ... is one
of the most important projects Aktif Azimut Ltd. is working on. In the
old little village of Bozköy laying in the middle of the hills across
the Greek Island of Lesbos, Aktif Azimut Ltd. has bought a number of
ruins. The aim is to rebuild the old little stone houses in the
authentic style of the region and to create a center for alternative
accommodation and activities in the village with a capacity of 40 beds.
From the spot where “Stylarius” will be build, one has a
breathtaking view on the Valley of the River of Uzundere, the old
village center, the sea and the Greek Island of Lesbos. The center will
also include a restaurant where typical local food and dishes will be
served, an anti-stress pool and a multifunctional workshop.
Following activities will be organized in function of the
participating group and the season: 1. TREKKING : the trekking and culture tours Aktif Azimut is already organizing will also be available for the guests of “Stylarius”. A special program for disabled persons as well as a restore program will be implemented. 2.

cooking various meals with olive-oil and olives, participating in a
drawing and photography contest of olive trees, cutting different
utensils from olive-tree wood, music and lectures. 3. necessary serenity to heal from depressions etc. Doctors will be in
charge of the medical assistance. The center will make a proposal for
psychiatrists to come with their therapy groups and thus combine therapy
with vacation in an original way. 6.
PANEL-DISCUSSIONS AROUND THE FIRE-PLACE: “Stylarius” will also be the place
where, far from the noisy and hectic city-life, people from different
horizons and nationalities will
gather to participate to panel-discussions, reading- or music-evenings
in a cosy atmosphere around the fire-place. 7.

historical or cultural facts which occurred in the area of the Karaburun
Peninsula and their impact on today’s modern society. 8.
ECO-TOURISM: in this program the guests will participate in a series of
activities in the daily lives of the villagers and will thus
learn about very old but simple ecological agricultural techniques as
well as food conservation and processing methods. The participants will
further learn to make baskets and pottery and they will also be expected
to give a hand to the local environment protection organizations in
their activities (i.e. beach cleaning-up, observation of the rare
Monkseal). 9.
INTERNATIONAL YOUTH-CAMPS : ”Stylarius” will organize international
youth-camps, where young people from all over the world will gather in
order to participate in a peace building and cooperative way to the
restoration and amelioration of the old villages of the Karaburun
Peninsula. The program will also offer sport activities and various
workshops. 10. HIBERNATION SOJOURNS: in the winter period “Stylarius” will serve as hibernation quarters for guests who whish to avoid the cold and rainy weather of Western and Northern Europe. This program will pay special attention to nutrition, eventually needed medical services, mobility and other specific needs of the guests. Various leisure activities and cultural visits to the surrounding antique sites will be organized. Thus the guests might be likely to participate in the garden-work with the villagers or to accompany the shepherds on their daily tours with their goats or sheep.
